The LBL hunt is already planned, weekend before KY modern gun season opens. We will all meet at energy lake campground. We did have a fun hunt this year, 2 of us taking deer and another got by the South Carolina bunch, so out of 8 hunters, 3 deer taken. Thats pretty good success rate for our sport. Everyone welcome, the more the merrier !
The Bourbon trail sounds like the best idea so far ! The LBL hunt is a new tradition, weekend before Gun season every year, untill I die, or am incarcerated whichever comes first. Its perfect, as the rut is strting and lots of buck sign.

A little late in the year, really. You begin to lose ground cover for those of us whose ancestors came down out of the trees long ago
there was still plenty of foilage there John. i guess I dont look at it from a groundhunters eye though. Its the time of year I like best, trees turning, just starting to lose a few leaves, cool temps, rutting bucks. I cant kill a buck if he's in his right mind.
