Hey Grandpa! What's for supper?

I put a package of meat out to thaw this morning when I went out to hunt. When I got back, I discovered it was Dove--not the squirrel I thought it was......so, I made home-made cheese and macaroni, baked sweet potatoes with marshmallows, and pan fried the breasts in butter. ........Son!  I believe I can say, without fear of SUCCESSFUL contradiction, that's as good as it gets!

Life is good!  biggrinbiggrinwink

Well, I went for a couple hours today......got to keep those knees working. It was as still as death, and the leaves as noisy as corn flakes, but I managed to kill a couple grays. so:

Pan fried squirrel, Turnip greens with Heinz "gourmet" salad vinegar, and good old German mustard potato salad. A plain meal--fit for our ancestors

I don't know about sucking sounds... but my hips, mostly the left, makes clunking sounds: it goes clunk, clunk, especially going uphill. The joys of getting old! It sure beats dying young... for sure.

Along with that will be tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, cut up and marinating in Italian dressing.Chocolate cake for dessert. For a night time drink, Fireball whiskey and A&W Crème Soda. MMmmm Good !

Well.....I bought a new smoker. Went looking for a Brisket, but ended up with a good, big London Broil instead. Marinated same overnight in Chipolte, Apple cider, brown sugar, and canning salt.
Smoked it with Hickory for 5 hours..........
