I talked to him a bit ago and I think I'm gonna make him something to solve his problem.
I can picture a sleve or cuff like device that can strap to his arm, probably below the elbow area. It will have a protective plate area, of ballistic nylon, to serve as an arm guard.
He will not actually touch the bow but a series of trusses and cantilevers will attach to the cuff. These will have shock absorbing pistons or perhaps impact gel attachments to the bow. Thuss isolating any shock to his hand
To cant the bow I guess he could have like a mouse ball that would controal small stepper motors that would allow him to cant and camber the bow in any position but that's not really traditional.
Instead I could incorporate a micro positioner that would be controled by a small joy stick that would attach to his pinky finger.
He would even have the advantage of adjusting his draw length depending on what bow he wanted to shoot.
I don't think there's anything in the ITBA rules that would prevent him from using such a device.

We only live 3 miles away cross country. I can tell when he's shooting one of those Hills, because it sounds like distant thunder, and there will be an aftershock
Flocks of geese fall from the sky when he shoots them.

He handed me a Hill bow one time to shoot which I did. Well, after my eyes quit bleeding and I had handed it back to him he proclaimed " That bow don't have handshock, but maybe I'm just used to it." Duh! When your hand goes numb there might be a problem.
