food for thought

smile we will be having a food service at our shoots starting in jan. it's called a place to be.. it seems to me ,to be a place that takes care of abused women and families in the scottsburg area.  we told them we like soup & or chili & hot-dogs or sandwhiches, during the cold mos.and we will talk to them about menus for the spring and summer mos.  they told me they will not set prices, but will ask for donations for thier food. i hope you guys will donate appropiately and keep them coming back for the whole year, unless someone wants to donate thier time and effort in the kitchen, and take care of everybody, because i'm not going to, and the officers do enough as it is. the club will be selling the drinks for now, coffee will still be free.  biggrin hope to see everybody sat. weather permitting, and have a good shoot. looking forward to this year.wink

Dave, the officers should get together and mandate a fair price to the members. If you don't, there'll be some joker who will stingy out for a $. Just sayin'

I have been one of the ones collectin money for the last couple years.

Every once in a great while someone will count the change out of their pocket to get a hot dog.

Most times a bunch of people will give more than their asked. This has happened a bunch.

I don't think we have to worry about the generosity of our trad  friends.

If they want to work off donations only, give what you think is fair. Give what you want. Give what you can.

That's how donations work.

To me it's not all about the food....."Did I just say that?".... but more about providing a service that no one else want's to do.
