I think I could have been a waterfowler if we had had ducks back in my day. LOL. Jackson took one mallard and one pintail.

Love bird hunting! That is all I did growing up: doves, pigeons, ducks, guinea fowl.
My cousin (R) and a friend with a mess of guinea fowl after a recent hunt in the Dominican Rep. Them birds are very tasty.
The second picture is of last Saturday's duck hunt. We saw a grand total of 7-8 ducks (the pond we hunted was frozen. We broke the ice to set a few decoys). My oldest boy, John (R), and my friend Jim, each with a black duck. We are hitting the Ohio river next time. The river is better after all the local ponds freeze up.
We raised a few Guinea hens when I was a kid. I always wondered if you were to set a few loose around here if they would go feral. Probably illegal I know but a guy has to have his dreams.
