Gourmet!

Got a call this afternoon from the Cowles clan. Jim and Cody came over. Cody brought Caribou and his smoker. YUM YUM!!

We had smoked caribou, baked potato and corn. A feast much too good for a king. The boy can sure cook! Andy stopped by and mowed into the fat parts. We even had some of the backstrap left over for old John's breakfast..........biggrinbiggrin

It's good to be me

Really feel sorry for you John...  no

Caribou is one animal I'd love to hunt. Either in Canada or Alaska. I'd go just to be out there. Great country!

God bless,

José

Dang, John. I wished youd a called me. I aint played hookey in 15 years but I would have told them I was about to die and drove up there to the Festerin Mud Flats of the White for some of Cody's cookin. Your right he could cook for kings.

Jose all it takes is mucho dinero and you gotta ride in a dang plane. Cody knows where they migrate.

I'm gonna have a cheese bisquite for my dang breakfast. cry

John I got hopelessly lost it that area about 25 years ago. We started out over by Steve H. area of salem and cut cross country around a big sand quarry. We drove around a bunch of corn fields and past some kind of underground river.

Later we saw a bunch of buffalos. We drove past a couple of big dams over off the road. Then somehow got down along the White river.

We saw an old man with a long white beard walkin down the road carrin a double barrel shotgun. We drove under some railroad tracks, got turned back by some high water, and came to a flooded field that had a bunch of big dead carp layin in it with a buzzard standin on top of each one.

We crossed an old iron bridge with a big cliff on the other side. We drove straight thru Medora and didn't stop cause everyone was starin at us.

Somewhere on the other side we saw a sign that said Seymore 17 miles. Thats when I knew I would see home again.

We circled around that desolate area for about 3 houres that day and I aint been back since.

The guy with the buffalo went broke, and the feller with the white beard died. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same
