was on the computer and thought I would see whats going on around here. sorry I haven't been to any shoots I blew my shoulder, elbow, and wrist out in my left arm and cant shoot as much as I did. I haven't given it up by any means, just kinda focusing on hunting. I have killed about 3 turkeys and 10 deer with the widow since I have been on here. got into pellet guns, thought that was going to be a good alternative to run my trapline well 900 bucks later still am not happy with my carbine yet..need to find some people with a bunch of different pellets, my marauder pistol is picky as hell with pellets...well good to be back hopefully I can rehab my arm enough to shoot next year, I hope.....
I got it shooting about a dime size group at 30 yds. sometimes, then the next clip itll have 2 or 3 flyers out of the same tin. I think I just need to find several different pellets and weights and find one that shoots good out of it. the city that hired me last year to do some adc work said I cant discharge a firearm in the 3 lakes I trapped beaver out of last year. I run everything on drowning rigs but sometimes they didn't read the script and beaver are not fun when they don't have anywhere to go..so I figured this will save me from a firearm charge, now im am obsessed with it being accurate..
Steve, if it's shooting a dime at 30 yds, you have the right pellet. You didn't say what caliber it is, but if it'sm a .22 or .177, I'd use a "pellset" to flare the skirts a little when you load it.
its the Benjamin marauder pistol in.22 like I said it is a sometimes dime size.. the Crossman premier hp..I had some superdome premiers and they shot the best but im not pay 23 bucks for the boxed premiers and only get 650 pellets. I want to try the h and n ftt . from what I have read those in the 5.53 shoot well out of this gun. guess ill get on line and buy some pellets ..
My guns are .22 and .25 A tin of 500 .22s should be around $9. I have FTTs, JSB jumbos, Napiers, and some others at the house. We buy ours across the counter at the Ben Franklin store in New Albany--he is also a Beeman dealer.
