John, I went through my stash and I didn't find one 22 hollow point. I don't use them much down here cause I hunt mostly on the hill tops or bottom land and stay out of the hollows. I have a bunch of the other and a drill bit it that will help.
John, I was looking on a shelf in my bed room and I had a look behind a wisky bottle and found a box of 555 Winchester 36 grain hollow points. Now I will put these things out there for those that need them. When you comming up and get a few?
I will save you a hundred or so en that should be enough to get a coon or bussy tail. John just trying to help out, I don't want to help someone build a big supply but help those that want the kids to have something to shoot.
I go a report that a traveler to Washington D. C. was stopped on the interstate by someone wanting donations to save the government. Seems some terrorist had got hold of our government officials and was threatening to pour gas on the and set them on fire if $100,000,000.00 was not paid in ransom. My friend and the good man that was collecting the donations how much most people were donating and the man said most people are giving 5 gallon of gas for the fire. Moral of the story, if you go to D. C. have a full fuel tank so you kin give more.
Last weekend I bought an SKS from a friend. Have wanted one for a long time, kept putting it off. Could have bought one for about $220 using my C&R FFl from J&G out in Arizona back before Newtown. Anyway, they are running in the $350-400 range now. Cleaned mine up from all the Cosmoline and found out it is unfired ! Knowing I was getting the gun I went to my local gun dealer to buy ammo. 1000 round case of Tula in 7.62X39 is now $375 . 3 months ago it was about $120. Why are .22lr hard to find ? Well obviously some of it is panic buying, but I would imagine a big part of it is with higher powered ammo in huge demand and with a better profit margin, makers are dedicating the brass, lead and powder to the big bores. I think we are seeing a "bubble" forming, much like the stock and real estate bubble. Obama is NOT going to get an assault ban or even a hi cap mag ban. The best they can get now is universal background checks, and they'll brag about their BIG victory. But Reid knows it won't fly in the Senate and it sure as hell gets no traction in the House. Too many Dem Senators are up for grabs in 2014 and Reid knows his power ion the Senate hangs by a thread. What is more important to a damn politician, power or the good of the Country ? Power will win every time with them. He won't rock the boat much at all. Once the assault ban and hi cap ban are off the table, the demand for guns and ammo will drop and the bubble will burst. A lot of these folks buying and buying are first timers or just people trying to cash in. They'll be going back in the gun shops and trying to unload their over buying. I frequent our local gun shop pretty regular. My wife probably thinks too regular. But these guys are friends and I enjoy their company. They are doing a land office business because they only sell at MSRP or less. A young lady came in a couple weeks back, had never fired a gun period but plunked down $800 for a new AR. She admitted freely that she was just buying it to make some money on it. It happens regularly. Once the bubble busts there might be some deals out there. As for Homeland Security buying ammo ? First of all, I'm no fan of androgynous Napolitano but they are not buying but taking bids.I can't quite wrap myind around the numbers but likely a part of it is spending money just to be able to ask for more next year in the budget. (if we actually had a friggin' budget) We've all heard the stories of tanks being buried in the desert, etc etc.

Hmmm, glad I bought my SKS when they were $99 brand new ! Stocked up on .22 lr when it was around $7 for a box of 550, my AR's were purchased at around $400, garand $300,m-1 carbine $300, Wished I had bought a semi load of SKS's back them days, but just did not have the cash, trying to raise a family and working 2 jobs. This bubble will burst. No way i'm paying $750 for 900 rounds of .223. I'll sit on my stash, i'm set for life. If I had extra i'd sell it to the fools that are paying these prices, call me greedy, but its sad if a person does not prep for hard times any better than that. I'll venture to say these same people are the ones that panic, loot, and kill at the first sign of trouble. The avearge american probably has 2 days food supply in their home, no generator, extra fuel, batteries, or heat source.I get a kick out of going to Lowes ,wal-mart, and tractor supply the day after a big power outage and finding the predictable empty shelves where these normally well stocked commodities were. These are normally dirt cheap items, and $100 puts away enough of most things to get you by. After these catastrophies are past there is all kinds of kerosene heaters, generatos and such on craigslist for dirt cheap. The big ice storm power outage a few years back was but a minor inconvenience for me, but after about 3 days folks would fight you for a few gallons of gas. I sat home and enjoyed the peace and quiet on my farm. I guess I'm lucky, my basement is full of homegrown food, and some stockpiled store bought. I have candles, flashlights and lanterns (rarely use them, it gets dark, you go to bed) i can run my generator 2-4 hours a day to keep my deepfreeze and refrigerator foods from spoiling. I can cook over a fire, gas grill, or coleman camp stove. I can catch fish from my pond, shoot squirrels, rabbits and deer, All right here at my backdoor. All this was gotten with hard work my whole life, from about age 12 to 50. Life is good, i'm blessed !
you are blessed randy i think most of thoes un prpared will die of thirst verry fast a human can do without food for a bit but water is another storie none you die bad it kills you slow i can hardly wait
Bad thing is Skunkhead when it gets that bad those unprepared panickers will come steal all you got, and they will way more than outnumber you. Thats where the assault rifles,hi cap mags, and plenty of ammo comes in ........, call me paranoid, but i've watched people enough to know thats what will happen. Look at all our disasters, history repeats itself.
