UBK/KTBA LBL deer hunt.

Just in case some of you are still unaware, Many of us from UBK, and KTBA will be camping at Energy Lake Campground from nov5-nov 11, and hunting in Land Between the Lakes.
Its up to each participant to make their own arrangements for campsites, and fees. Also to remind you need a Ky hunting license/deer tags, plus the LBL permit. The LBL permit is required to deer hunt LBL, but it is a bonus buck tag over you're statewide tag, and an antlerless tag, or 2 antlerless tags.
I was lucky enough last year to kill a buck at home, and 3 days later take another at LBL ! Also you can take turkey, squirrel, coyote, and there is allways plenty of all the above.
I have hunted LBL for years, and am amazed at the wildlife i've been fortunate enough to see. Two years in a row I had bobcat directly under my stand, once it was captured on video while being witnessed by Larry Dalzell, a member of both clubs. I have also had close encounters with coyote, blad eagles, pelicans, and even armadillos !
Please check the LBL website, as some hunting regs are slightly different from statewide. http://lbl.org/
Hope to see a bunch of familiar faces, and meet some new friends !
Fell free to contact me at rkgrider62@yahoo.com if you need further info,
Thanks,
Randy Grider
KTBA president

From the LBL guide.....

"ARCHERY AND CROSSBOW
Bag Limits: There is an LBL-wide one buck bag limit. The archery/crossbow limit is two white-tailed deer,
including one antlered buck unless a buck has already been harvested on LBL. In addition to deer, archers with
required state licenses or permits may harvest one turkey (either sex), squirrels, woodchucks, feral hogs, armadillos,
and coyotes. Hogs must be checked out at LBL hunter check stations or the Golden Pond Administrative
Office. Please immediately report any hog sightings at 270-924-2065. "

I would love to take a hog there, and have allways heard rumors, but alas, have never personally seen one. The squirrels on the other hand, are PLENTIFULL !
