Steve and I are going to try a hunt on our own for a few days. leaving early in the morning. I'll let you know how it went when we get back.

thanks for the well wishes guys. We went to a place suggested by the guide I used last year ( not in his area)  The area looked pretty good, some sign but no Elk. We talked to a game warden before we left for home and he told us we were close to where the Elk hang out but not on top of them. He told us where to try the next time we come down. Maybe then , God willing. We sure seen some beautiful country though. Steve sure makes a heck of a camp Wench !!! LOL

Steve,I had a great time huntimg with you last year and this time as well but the pleasure is all mine Thank you for being willing to help me out. Thanks for the offer John we'll see what happens. The Wench comment was an inside joke,good thing Steve has a since of humor or I could be pulling an arrow out of my back one of these days.
