Any takers on a Lew Church longbow? One owner bow, bought new in 1992 from Lew in Bedford, KY. It's #55 at 28". Brown glass, walnut and maple. Leather wrapped handle, reflex/deflex. Full palm type grip. Still has original string so it will need a new one. Only issue is that the bottom tip overlay is missing. Easy fix and the original owner is searching his house for it, so might get lucky and find it. Comes with a buckskin, fringed case that Lew gave him. Not sure if Lew made it or not. Glass is perfect...had been painted camo. Removed the paint with charcoal lighter fluid and fine steel wool, bow cleaned up like new. Asking $165.00 A lot of guys didn't know that Lew made laminated bows in the past. 513-218-5529 Woody
I'll give John Nail first crack at it, but if he passes I'll take it.Either way we keep it in the family. That tip overlay is an easy fix , even without the original.

Woody, are those osage overlays ? Looks like it in the picture but maybe not. Either way , should be an easy fix.

Tim, they might be...I just assumed they were walnut, but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Hell, the whole thing might be osage! The bow is your's Tim. John messaged me and said to let it go. In one of the pics, you can still see the green camo paint, it's gone now. Cleaned up really well with lighter fluid and fine steel wool. You want to meet somewhere this weekend? Versailles or North Vernon?
I have to be back in Seymour by 11am, I could meet you at the North Vernon Burger King around 9ish if that works for you.
