John,

I know several in that area use Hughes Net... That's a satallite service... don't know if it's avaiable on that side of the river

The place I hunt is spotty with cell service... I've hunted and stayed there so many years now I almost know where I can and can't get service now...

Wow... dialup... that might be a quick cause for baldness... I'm afraid I'd pull my hair out...

Ha! That made me laugh out loud...

I've been described as tight, but that takes it to a whole new level...$50.00 would be hard to swallow, although it seems it's all getting pricey anymore...

Both Mitchell and Bedford have wireless at the libraries if you have a laptop and go to town...

Afraid we'll miss your pictures come fall with dialup...

Guess you need to get into ham radio, I can teach you the dots and dashes and you don't even need electricity. You can use the battery out of a pacemaker or your motor bike or even a Hum Around to power the thing. It sounds like Ft. Ritter might be a part of Kentucky that washed up stream during some bad flood.no

John, have you tried Blueriver Networking out of Salem? They use point to point antennas. I had to install a 55 ft tv tower to get above the trees around me but $30 a month unlimited highspeed access is pretty decent. Call and give them your address and they can tell if you are in sight of their towers.
