Not yet Milk. I've been there three or four times looking for Jimbo and haven't got ahold of him yet. I'm gonna have to find out his hours and go this week sometime. They said he still works there. The big archery season rush is over now and it will be a good time to talk to him.
den-den ive talked to jimbo about two wks. ago. he gave me the number of mike benningfield store manager.218-5500 havent been able to get him yet, but maybe u can try. i will call too. bye den-den.
Grampy, I've done some research that may help our cause.
We had thirty six different shooters last time. Some only got to shoot once. Mr. Redtail comes to mind as he moved about that time. Oh yea, I think they caught Cowles sneaking around the fish tank with his bow fishing outfit, and banned him for the rest of the league
Anyway, there were 131 scores turned in. Being as each shoot lasted at least two hours, that equals 262 man hours that we spent in the store.
I know a lot of people came early, and stayed late to shop. Plus a lot of invited guests and friends showed up. These hours aren't recorded but I'm fairly confident that they would push the total over 300 hours.
Being as the league lasted eight weeks, BPS total investment in that was 16 hours that they had to pay someone to watch us. Not a bad return on their investment.
The winter league also drew a lot of people from long distances to their store whom may not have driven to Clarksville on a Thur night. I remember a couple nights when there were more of us in the store than reagular customers.
Last time there was some concern about us starting in November. They thought it would be better to wait untill Jan. I've talked to several of our members that did a lot of Christmas shopping on the nights of the shoot. Some said they bought gift certificates for everyone they gave presents to. This is all money that may be spent elsewhere if we have to wait till after the Holidays.
