I decided to hit the squirrels today, since they are down carrying nuts. Went to Brush Creek WMA since private land is hard to get on here.
When I got there I counted 12 Game Warden trucks. Actual count!!
I figured they were after a fugitive or something. When I got to the creek, they had a boat launched, so I thought maybe somebody drowned.
So, I knew of a little Oak grove on the East side that used to not be hunted much, because it was a good walk back in (the GLORIUS STATE--herein after referred to as GFS has cut a parking spot there now)
I no sooner got out of the truck, than I was checked by wardens. They told me they were having a TRAINING EXCERCISE WITH SCENARIOS today..............on PUBLIC hunting grounds..........during an OPEN HUNTING SEASON
After the second check, I gave up and left. RIDDLE ME THIS:
If it is a TRAINING excercise and they use all theirn own people for the bad guys, WHY WASN'T IT HELD ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER, WHERE THE GFS AND HOMELAND OBSCURITY DOESN'T ALLOW HUNTING?
End of rant----welcome to Decatur county, GFS
