I always enjoy those yearly threads where John has to battle mother nature. I like the pictures of snow up to his eaves. Pictures of his vehicles buried. The stories of how many days to dig out.
This time is different. Ice ain't nothing to play with. I hope you boys are ready and preped. Be sure to keep us updated. If you don't post we'll know your elec is out.
Mainly don't suffocate, trying to keep warm. Carbon monoxide is deadly.
Sure hope it misses scottsburg, setting targets in the snow was rough ,cleaning up after a ice storm will be 5 times the work especially if more trees fall across the pathways.

I'm at work today and due to the weather, it will be a sort of "easy day". About 6 hrs worth of work to do but between jobs I can shoot arrows in the shop.Only 10yd shots but just going thru the motion can't hurt one's form. We've got only a very light skiff of ice and the roads have enough salt on them already , so, it's not a big deal.Just 3 miles north of here the county roads are a bit rough.

Yep, Cowles called this morning and said John was without power but had the wood stove fired up and was cooking beans and ham and reading a book.If we don't hear from him soon, I'll be putting together an expeditionary force to go find him. As in Stanley and Livingston. I don't want him to be forced to eat the cat. Wait, he doesn't have a cat............... oh no !
