Mid-winter shoot

Well, I sure had a lot of fun today. The course was well thought out and set up. a big WELL DONE!

I also learned a lot today. We figured out why Jim C. doesn't have any teeth--He shoots a Hill longbow with little light carbon arows, and the standing shock wave shattered them over time.confuse.gif It was kind of handy though, since it laid the weeds down around it.

I bought a new bow today from Rob. As you all know, I'm very frugal with my money and almost NEVER buy anything new.evileye.gif......well, I was $5 short and had to borrow it from a Louisville Loan Shark! I was worried about how to pay him back at his usury interest rate, when I overheard him arranging to have someone's legs brokenfurious.gif...I figured I better dig deep and found the funds to pay him off!

I discovered you can sell old, beat-up bows pretty quickly, if you price them right! I sold a family Heirloom recurve to a promenent Seymour buisnessman, before I could get inside with it.biggrin.gif

Well , the prominent Seymour businessman ran off and forgot the sign he said he would take care of. I hope someone took it back inside.

Glad all had fun, will more than likely cut in a few more new stations for the next meeting.Definitly will shoot the same direction being it was liked so well.Mix up a few more different shot selections-targets.Thinking of putting in a wheelchair path for DENNIS seeings how he is old and decreped .I think he is afeared JR is going to spank him hardbiggrin If you dont shoot, cant get spanked.Or maybe COWLES got him skeered.

I should add that I liked the course and sets very much. Just the "going backwards" added a new look and element to the course. I like the new deal where you have to pay a bit extra for the so called "second round" too. Those that want to do it and are willing to pay for it do so without adding costs to the club in target replacement. It's only fair. The second round for me and those I shoot with is always the most fun. ( and most costly in arrows too)
