Theres a couple others that names escape me, and several that have not confirmed, but definately intrested. I'll update this list as I get confirmations
One guy by the name of "Esquire" has graciously donated a DAS recurve as a drawing for the 10-12 students of Rod Jenkins shooting school ! This bow is a $375 value. He is that intrested in taking his class that he is donating the bow to encourage sign ups. He said everyone signing up is a potential winner of the bow excluding himself, so that would be a 1 in 11 chance at winning the bow, not bad odds!
Randy, I'd love to see the course moved to Friday/Saturday. I just found out that the course sessions are long: all morning until 4pm one day and until 2pm the next day. If I go to the course I'll miss shooting with Dennis! Seriously, the attendees will miss most of the shoot.
Been E-mailing Doug Schalbough about being our guest speaker, most likely saturday night. If you are not familiar with Doug he put out the outstanding video "Lettin' Loose". It can be found at Three Rivers, or just do a search on Stickbow, i'm sure there is mention of it there. Now I'm not big on huntin videos, matter of fact I don't buy them, and since I am still living in the 1960's with only broadcast television, I don't have access to the comercialized crap cable TV spews. Folks Doug's stuff is different. He's just an average Joe, but an excellent hunter. No product endorsements, just a guy taking his camcorder along for the hunt. He hunts everything from Barn pigeons, quail, javelina, whitetail, to Elk. He does DIY hunts on public and private land, no guides, leases, or penned game farm livestock. He hunts in cheap surplus camo with bows made by people I never heard of. He showed up at our Tyler shoot a few years ago shooting a cheap TD recurve, PSE, or one of them korean jobs, forget the brand, but he is a hell of a shot. Alot of his videos are from his home state of South Dakota. He's the real deal, and I can't think of a better speaker at any price. He has agreed to do this for the cost of his room, or donations to "Catch a dream" or "Benefit 4 kids" 2 charities that do hunts for disabled or ill children. He donates a percentage of his video sales to these charities. You guys don't want to miss this event, its looking to be something big!
Well, Its confirmed, Doug will be there! From the responses so far it looks like the Rod Jenkins class is gonna be a go as well, still getting confirmation from vendors as well,This just keeps getting better!
Last I heard 7 have signed up for the Rod Jenkins class. I reckon a 1 in 12 chance at a $375 bow is hard to pass up, and to learn to be a champeeeeeen archer as well ! Looks like the class is gonna be on Saturday/Sunday, as most folks work on Friday, have to keep the masses happy.
