Jan. 2 is the clubs first shoot of the year and is looking to be a cold one.This year we are setting 30 targets,one shot per target[white stake only] for the adults.Same stakes for youth and cubs as before
All members be sure to spread the word about the clubs youth bow giveaway, the more youth participation the better for the future of the club and trad. archery. Bow, quiver,arrows,armgaurd, glove,all donated by several senior and guru members .Details of giveaway date to be posted at the club.
Shoot fees this year are $7 For members and $10 for nonmembers.
Will be setting targets saturday the 1st. for sunday, any body who wants to lend a hand the help will be greatly appreciated.

I remember a shoot a few winters ago. The group I was in had just walked up the road and turned the corner where the bluegill sign is. I don't remember who all it was but they were all my good friends. It was very cold but the air was real still. It was a grey day and it seemed almost too quiet. Like something special was about to happen. When we got to that first target there in the pines and broom sage, all of a sudden it started snowing. Huge flakes that you could almost hear comming thru the branches. When I stepped back out in the lane I looked down it and saw a bunch of my other good friends. Two or three groups all spread out down that little road. Snow falling hard. I knew right then, that was the best possible place to be that day.
