Guys its unreal the responses i'm getting about this shoot! Just to update, BigJim will be there with his bows, and supplies, just like at the Klassic, another fellow Jim Pyles of JPE Traditional Archery is coming,Herwaybows, Crooked Stik bows, John Sullivan and his buddy (Name escapes me) will be there. And if we get enough people signed up (10-12) Rod Jenkins may come to host a shooting clinic. He usually charges something like $400 for this 2 day training session, but would come for $225 per person if there is enough intrest. KTBA is discussing waiving the $25 competition shoot fee for those willing to sign up for Rod's class. We will be ercting a tent for Rod and his class near the clubhouse, and target butts. His class includes video instruction, tuneing and time on the target butts while being video taped for constructive classroom diagnoses. If I was not so busy during this shoot I would enroll myself, but from the looks of it, its gonna be busy.
Looking into a food vendor, more than likely a smoked Bar-B-Que type. Also we planned on a Saturday night Potluck, wild game feast. Bring a dish and we will all pile in (Free of course)
Anyone who wants to sell /trade goods or services, vendor space is free, bring you're own tent or canopy.
Anotherthing I'd like to encourage is some bowbuilding, flint knapping, demonstrations, or classes. I encourage anyone to attend that is intrested in this, again free setup.

LOL, I know you guys are not easily impressed, i'm kinda the same way. If Fred Bear walked in we'd all just say, "Hey Fred".
Rod Jenkins is some hot shot 3 time winner of something or the other....
Just do a search "Rod Jenkins Archery" and i'm sure you can find what when and where he won whatever .biggrin
Suffice it to say he made a name for himself in the big time shoots, and hosts these shooting classes all over the country, he may have books and videos as well.
Believe me, were not trying to "Put on airs"here, just trying to add all we can to the event to draw a crowd for our first shot at this. If the first year is a flop you probably won't get the vendors back, and if you don't have vendors you don't have shooters and vice versa. (Which came first, the chicken or the egg? )
Hope to see you guys there, and we would appreciate spreading the word in any way you can.

I know that Randy. I'm just as tight as the bark on a Sycamore tree. I figure if I'm Half as good a shot, I could give lessons for half as much? Maybe start a new bid-nuss.
Actually, if Fred Bear walked in, I'd figure I was DEAD!

Dennis, I think you're on to something there! Maybe a Government subsidy, like not growing wheat.

John, that sounds like our government best investment: paying a lot of money to a whole lot of grown ups to stay home and not work...  evileyeconfuse

On the other hand that Dennis is so awful that I will  pay for him not to teach how to shoot a bow... I will pay even more if he teaches how NOT to shoot a bow  biggrin

You guys are killing me...

God bless,

Jose

John, you and Jose are my first two non students. With the training you won't get, I'm sure your scores will go up this yearwink

By the way that will be $225 eachsmile
