the lack thereof. I'm just not seeing many. Seems to be plenty of mast, but the squirrel population is at seed level up here. I kind of hate to shoot one.

Must be a local thing John. I could have killed a limit and a half last Sunday morning if the grandson had not been with me.All told we saw 10 squirrels.That in about 2 hrs. One thing I noticed was they seemed to be eating very early, maybe a bit before light, and then laying up early. This damned heat.Few cool morns ought to get them going.

Tim, I went down to Brush creek this AM. Found several grays in there, and got a shot at one, but two cars of guys came in on me. So you're right, there seem to be some down there.
