southern exposure

There are no nude beaches here, so don't jump to conclusionsdisbelief

The fishin is pretty good so far. Caught a  2' bonnet shark today. He was released unharmed...... both of uswink Caught seven different species so far. Tomorrow we're going to fish the bridge that a hurricane took out the middle of a few years back. It's a good place to catch black drum and big flounder. I'll try to pick up some information on St. Vincent isl. hunting. I forget the name of the beast that they hunt there. Some kind of stag or something, but there are also hogs. I drove down a different way this time and went through 50 miles of Appalachicola national forest and Tates Hell state forest. It don't look like a friendly place to huntno

Super jumbo shrimp are $9.50 a pound. X-large are $8.00 I'll be bringing some back depending on how much money I gots left on Sundayhmm

Hee Hee Hawk. These are about the size of small bananas.

John their $17.95 a lb at home.

I've been eatin oysters almost every day. I haven't tried any raw on the half shell though. I've been getting steamed or baked. Their loaded up with different goodies and placed back in the shell and baked. The ones I had today had Blue crab, sherry, and colby cheese. I ate a dozenbiggrin They cost about $12.00 or so. They don't taste like Indiana oystersdisbelief

Had something huge hooked at the bridge. Never saw what it was.

Mostly been walkin the dogs on the beach a couple times a day. Unfortunatly they've discovered digging in the sand, and they love it. Look out backyard when we get homeashamed I've been spending a lot of time sitting on a 5gal. bucket under an umbrella watching fishing poles. Fishing like that you don't even keep track of time. Well it looks like the tide has turned around. I've got a nice ladyfish that I caught this morning that I'm gonna chunk up and see what might be hungry this evening. Just gotta put a couple beers in my little cooler and walk out the back doorbiggrin

Aint nature grand. I'll never figure out the way things run in cycles. Last year we, me and my brother in law, caught a bunch of spotted sea trout and  whiting. This year only a few. I've fished tides high, and low. Early and late. Different baits and lures. Sometimes drunk and sometimes nothmm Some days you can't fish with more than one rod because of the way their biting. Others you can sit for hours without a nibble. That's alright toosmile Today was shark day. I probably fished for nine hours today and only caught sharks. The biggest was a bonnet shark about 4' long. What strong fish. I caught four different species including a hammer headashamed I did get to see the sun just break the horizon and it's suprising how fast it rises. Actually I've caught the sunrise all week. Dachshunds have some kind of damn internal alarm clock that's set for about 5:00 am.
