Hearin how John wants to sell his house and settle in somewhere for his umm... golden years, gave me an idea. How about a retirement home for old bowhunters From looking around up at the club, it looks like it might be something that will be very popular in a few years Instead of a building like a hospital it would be out in the country and everyone would have to provide their own little camper. Nothing fancy, just whatever you can afford.
Every morning I could load all the residents up in a old bus and haul them down to the Dairy Queen where Ronald and them hang out. Buy one cup of coffee and drink free refils all morning
Later there would be activities like draw knifing and log splitting. Arrowmaking and whatnot. In the afternoons everyone could work in the garden pulling weeds and hoein. I know old bowhunters want to provide all their own food
For recreation there could be a small 3-D range set up that wouldn't be too expensive to shoot a round I don't think I could afford a Tecno range but maybe I could get a Wii with some kind of archery game.
Hey that retirement home for old bowhunters sounds good. Just let me know when to start looking for a camper. I can still do a little hoein as long as the rows are not too long.

Dennis with all the gray hair I saw on your Sean Connery's beard I do not think you'd be driving us seniors around for long. It looks to me like in a few months you'd be part of the 'driven around' group. Better talk to French to do the driving
If you are going to have hook-ups at the 'park', you can count me in at least for the summer months. I am moving to TX/NM for the winter.
Stay healthy and call/email your rep. NOW before it is too late.
You're going about this all wrong. Between all of us we are sure to come up with various handicaps, ethnicities, medical problems etc. And we are already in a big minority--trad archery ! I say we put in for some of that trillion $$$ stimulus money, buy an old motel out in the country, spend 2 billion $$ putting in a 3d outdoor course and an indoor shooting range, big walk in cooler and beer dispenser(for deer AND beer), hire a couple 30 yr old nurses (GoodBody types) and we're in business. We'll have old archers from all over the country turning their retirement accounts over to us to let them live there, and our costs will be free ! Yep, there's the plan.

John, I am working on a job there as the first step. Southern NM or West TX should be a good location. I have heard the NM elk is the largest of all and the hills are not so high.
Jose' check out Arizona my inlaws stay there in the winter. I think the place is called casa grande" my sone was stationed by there for his ait in the army. He said it was very pretty country and had lots of game animals from mulies to javelina. He told me he even saw some desert bighorns using the cameras on his drone aircraft
