Yesterdays shoot

I am suprised knowone posted anything about yesterdays shoot. It was kind of two shoots, the first dry and the folks that went out later, got very wet. The bobcat set out behind the log was tough. smile       I think we had over 40 brave souls.

Thanks to the guys that set and picked up the course. They did a really good job. To me, it was tough but fair.

I'm ready for warm weather and I am lucky enough to leave tomorrow for the warm weather of Florida. biggrin   I will miss the next shoot but will be back for the one after that.

Steve

You guys enjoy.

I am here in Maine until 5-2-09. It has been snowing since last night, one foot or so on the ground and still coming down like there is no tomorrow. At least it is not as cold as it was last year.

Randy, you still up for the pig hunt? I enjoyed the pictures of the shoot. You don't seem to be old enough to have a grandson already! I will probably make the may shoots for both ITBA and KTBA, God willing.

Stay healthy.

God bless,

Jose

Yes Jose, i'd love to go piggin'.., something i've never done, when is it going to happen ?
I will be going to CO elk hunting in sept, and of course opening of bow season , so Sept is no good for me. Truthfully this time of the year is best for a hog hunt I think, all other seasons are closed, and cabin fever is the best time to head south, but you guys brought it up, so you decide.
I have wanted to hunt an "exotic" (translation something not here on my farm ) for a long time. If you have room for a dumb hillbilly from KY, i'm game.
Got any info on this outfit you are talking about? Do they hunt with dogs? Spot /Stalk ? Bait?
As much as I'd love to take a hog, i'm not intrested in any "fish in a barrell " type hunt, it just wouldn't mean much to me to kill one that way.

Randy, the hunt is spot/stalk. Plenty of room to roam.

Regarding dates, we are waiting for Bryan to see when his daughter can make the trip. I agree that the best time to go is in the dead of winter when there is nothing else to do. But the late fall should be OK too during our gun season.

Stay healthy.

God bless,

Jose
