We've been canceled at work the last two days. Makes me furious We have at least a half inch or better on all the trees and lines. Last night was hard to sleep with the sound of crashing trees and exploding transformers. It's snowing now but it's supposed to get windy later. Look out then.
In that last picture, I was standing in that doorway taking these pictures I heard a crack and looked up and that limb came down. It happened so fast I couldn't even move. The butt end of it is about 7" diameter, hit the ground about 4' away from me.
I called Ronald and Billy and asked them if they wanted to go stump shootin Neither one has elec. Billy said he got up at 4:am and went outside to see what fell in his yard that woke him up. He said he could hear trees crashing around his neighborhood. He could see the sky light up in the distance and then he'd hear a big boom. That's why his juice is out.
Ronald said a tree limb fell in his side yard and tore his wire and even his meter off his house. He may be out for a while
I mooved my jeep out from under the big limbs out front. My new gutter that the Mexicans put on my house last summer is tore loose
Billy asked me where I was thinking on going stumpin, that he would go.
I was the only one that showed for work today. Spent the first hour and half plowing the parking lot, done some "real" work, went to lunch, came back and plowed again since the snow stopped.Done some more "real work" and then sent myself home early.Cool part is, no one even knows I left early.
