Well, speaking of French........

You guys seem to have more contact with him than I. I have not seen him since back in July or August. I know he's living out in the country somewhere . I asked his son how he was doing this past week and he told me that John had killed a hog recently. Now that is something I want to hear more about. Are we planning an expedition ?
I have a piece of bamboo and hedge that I prepped for him last Summer still standing out in the shop and I have the beginnings of a rifle hanging on the wall. Anyone got any contact info for him? I know Aisin is shutting down for a while over Xmas so he will be likely in the woods.

He's supposta be up at the club for our work day. Saturday Dec 27th. A bunch of us will meet at Schulers in Henryville for breakfast at 8:00am. We should be at the club about 9:00. He said he's gonna be there. It is forecasted to rain sat. but you know us, we'll probably be there anyway. I'll let you know if we cancel.

If John killed a hog then thats news to me. He did tell me on the other hand that the old man got one. He was refering to Mr. Cowels. It is a good story that I'll let them tell. DEN

The story as Jim Cowles told me:

Seems French put on a little weight---like 30 pounds.
Jim took him to a place that had hogs and put him on the upwind ridge, so's he'd huff and puff.
Jim then oozed along the other ridge and shot a 130lb hog that was running from John.
That's planning!

I can't make the workday. My family always has our get together the Saturday after Xmas. It got too hard getting all of them in the same place Xmas Day. But I plan on skipping my normal muzzleloading shoot the 1st Saturday to go to S/burg

John I was just thinking the same. I was wanting to take him Friday, day after Xmas, and do some hunting. I've been seeing tons of them while deer hunting. Right now the weather is the unknown. I'll have to butcher a deer by next weekend if the weather stays cold, sooner if ity warms too much. Let's watch the weather and see how it goes. If it looks bad for Friday, I can butcher that day and maybe we can hunt Sunday.
