Boys, most of us are in the same basic age group.Remember how they told us to save, save , save ? And we did, and we made preparations for our retirement. Now some of us are looking down the barrel of older age and retirement. What did it get us ? If you were planning to retire in the next 5-10 yrs, you are now screwed.If your retirement is tied to mutual funds (IRAs and 401K) if you are like me you've lost near 30%. Now those son of bitches in DC will stay get their retirement via our taxes. So who got screwed here ? We did. Can't speak for the rest of you but when I vote next month my plan is simple. If you are an incumbent, the other guy gets my vote and I don't care if he's a Communist. At least with a Commie you know what you are getting unlike the bastards in Washington. If there is no incumbent, the 3rd party guy gets the nod.No 3rd party, then no vote at all. We have to send a message. Maybe they don't care, but if they get thrown out of Office they can't do anymore harm. Guys this ain't along party lines- all of them are corrupt and need removed from their office.

Tim, I do not want to even look at my last statement. I guess, like you said, I will just keep on working. One bright note: we just returned from Brookings, SD where we took our last child to his new job. Aleluyah! Now is only me and the wife, praise the Lord! I think I can make it working 6-7 months of the year because the old lady still works full time.
Like you said, those guys in DC have a different pension plan. They are not affected by what is going on, but we do.
Oil is just one piece of the pie. It doesn't matter if oil is 10 cents a gallon if you don't have the dime.This country was broke BEFORE this latest crisis. We have to borrow money from Communist China to pay for this latest boondoggle and they already own us lock ,stock and barrel.. You're gonna see inflation start to rapidly rise. You'll have to work longer for the same buying power, if you can find work. This greed spread across the globe. Iceland has now declared temselves bankrupt. Better put an extra deer in the freezer this year boys, your'e gonna need it.

if you want to know the what and whys, I'd suggest watching Bill O'reilly on fox news. He has outed alot of the guilty people. Last week he had barney frank on and really put his feet to the fire.
On another note today, Rush Limbaugh connected obama to the subprime loan scandal, it seems when barry was working for/with acorn, he filed a lawsuit against countrywide to force them into giving people that couldn't afford a house a loan so they could buy a house. The law suit was settled out of court with franks and dodd guarrenteeing sub prime loans as fannie and freddie bought them using tax payer money. then when folks began defaulting on the loans it led to where we are today.
In 2005 McCain warned about the senate about the subprime loan fiasco, hearings were held in which barney frank said everything was fine, maxine walters accused the regulators with racism because they questioned franklin raynes making 90 million for 6 years of work with freddie mac. barney franks boyfriend worked for fannie may about the same time frame.
The dems tried to make something out of the fact that todd paline belonged to a group that abdicated secession for alaska and alaska becomeing it's own stand alone country. Perhaps Todd was right??
Tim, I'm with you on getting back our country and getting rid of the few that have created this mess! Wife's grandfather fought on the beaches of Normandy and is pretty proud. He made the comment the other day that got my attention. "Everything that we fought for in those days is gone". I told him that we still have our freedom(not financially) and don't speak a foreign language. He laughed, and said " What did we die for?" Something to think about.
I saw a video about that business with Fannie Mae and the loans to people who could not afford a house... they could not afford a loan either, but they got a loan alright thanks to Obama. The video also noted that Obama took more money from the loan sharks than Kerry and Kennedy combined even though he had been around for a much shorter time in the Senate. There is supposed to be a good program about Obama on Fox tomorrow at 9pm. Do watch it. Some dirt is going to be uncovered from what I hear.
