me and an old buzzard from medora checked out a hog huntin spot. i saw some sign and even muddy trackes in the creek were one must of herd me comeing and got out of there ...lol he must of herd about me or something and knew not to take any chances....hee hee i dont think a guy can kill hogs in there untill the leaves fall . its about like where we have the smoker round but on the side of some mountains. we had a good time even without seeing any hogs and did some shooting back at his house . mary his wife has us a big pot of beens and cornbread cooked up when we got back also .mmmmmm that was good stuff. guess she was afraid we'd be out of gas when we got home or somethin
Tough decision for me but I won't be there. There is a car show that Saturday near here that I always attend, but not this year. The Contemporary Longrifle Show is Saturday at Lexington. Never been to it but always wanted to go. A van load of us are driving down Sat morning. They are auctioning off a rifle handmade by Jack Haugh. At his age it will be one of his last ones and I want to see it sell.Anyway, have a good time ya'll.

I'll give $1000 and I ain't even seen it! When I was shooting competition, Jack did all my gun work, and he's the best I've ever known, including some high rafter-bat Smiths from Britan.
My best guess is that the gun of Jack's will bring near $20G . They have bidders calling in via the phone too.

Dennis, I am sorry but I think I am going to miss the shoot tomorrow. They are doing some work around the house and I have to stick around. I am also behind in getting ready for my trip to Canada and I leave tuesday. I still have to shoot arrows with broadheads and see how they shoot.
Well I was there to see the gun go on the block. As per my expectations it brought $20,000 even. Really nice show and auction.
