Well John, the deer hunting ain't been so good. I'm about to give up and start hunting squirrels again.As much as I like to deer hunt I do find it somewhat boring, unlike squirrel hunting.I used the recipe you had for squirrel pie and it was very good. I shared the recipe with the guys over on the .22 rimfire forum and they like it as well.Even submitted it for a cookbook the NMLRA Primitive folks are putting together.

Well Dennis, at this juncture, I plan on using my pronghorn longbow.
What day are we leaving? I need to put in for vacation at work. Who's driving, who's picking whom up, ect. Do we need to get together at the Janurary shoot and hash all that out?

This is Dennis. Oh yeah. That's right I forgot to tell you about the new bow I made to deer hunt with this year. I named her " 12ga pump". I hope that didn't cause any confusion. I'm still making up my pork arrows. I think their gonna weigh about 1000 gr. and should be real tank busters. I may need to get pretty close though. HE He. I 'm making a knife to take with me also. I bought a Pakistanie Bowie kiife for $9.99 at the flea market and it's gonna be heavily modified. I'm cutting the blade a little narrower so it penetrates better, and then welding a longer tang on so it'll have an osage two fisted grip. I'm not scared of any pig, but if one get's me down I don't want it to be a fair fight either. He he. I think we're leaving sometime on the 10th. I'm taking off the 9th. and the 14th. though. My memory ain't the best part of me, but if I think of it, I'll bring the jaws from the big (210 lb) hawg I shot a few years ago to the Janurary shoot. You may want to make the knife bigger....
