Wondering if any of you guys had ever heard of Earl Gossett or a show he hosts called Traditional Bowhunters Journal? Drew and I were at the hunting show in Cincinnati last weekend and stopped by a shooting booth sponsored by the United Bowhunters of KY. Mostly all trad equipment for the kids. Had target about 10 yards away. Drew stepped up and asked to shoot the longbow. They told him it was too heavy...30lbs. I told them he could handle it. Drew proceed to put all six arrows in about a 5 inch square. They were shooting blunts and each time the target was hit, it made a load bang. He drew quite a crowd and this Earl Gossett guy approached me about allowing him to follow Drew thru our course at Scottsburg and do a segment on his show about him to help recruit more kids into archery and bowhunting. Seemed like a nice guy, but being a cop, I'm always a little skeptical. If anyone knows anything about him or his show, let me know.
I've never heard of him, or seen his show. It sounds like a good thing though. The more kids that take up hunting, and fishing, the less you'll have to cuff, and stuff. DEN
