well i just spent way more than my wife would like me to on a new camera , good thing she don't know...lol i got a canon 400d that i'm sure will take super pics if i ever get it figured out make sure you bring james to the shoot ,i'd like to get a few shots of him swimming in the pond and dennis and ron pulling him to shore. i have heard storys but i think pics would be better. heres one of my buddy
John, I got the same camera last year, you're gonna like it, but like you,I still ain't figured it out. Take lots of pictures, thats how you learn it. I have trouble when taking pics outside in low light, they always turn out darker than it really is. Keep pluggin'
I was going to add that cannon is not very famous for being good at low light situations. On the other hand it is one of the best when the lights are on. Im looking at one thats about 800 dollars with no extras that has a built in hard drive.
poor low light problems are more a lens problem than camera prob. a good lens is more exspensive than the cameras are . get a lens with a f stop no greater than 2.8 and you'll have great low light shots. the ones that come with most cameras are not the better lenses . i'm hoping to get a f 2.8 200mm by hunting season for low light shots at deer i pass on with my bow,that way i can still say i shot them....
randy , another way to brighten up your low light shots is to raise your iso setting to 800 or 1600/ and or slow your shutter speed down . only problem with a slow shutter speed is camera shake , get to low and you'll have to use a tripod. i kind a know what i need to do,i just got to find out what button does it...lol
I'm with you John,I realize about slowing shutterspeed, just not sure how to do it. I'm bad about not taking the time to figure techno stuff out, got so much of that crap at work I just hate dealing with it at home ! Also know about shake at slow shutter speeds...... I'm the king of SHAKES !!! My plans are to get a better lens, just not sure what to get, and funds are short now that the wife is laid up, but it'll happen.
