Anyone is welcome to come . Nothing rigid or scheduled just plannin on camping out ,scrapin some bow wood ,and chasin the deer in the area.Should be a good time... Chris
This is Dennis. I've been eyeing that. The last selfbow thing I went to was at your house. I've never been to that state park. I may have to go check it out if it ever cools off. DEN
P.S. We have a shoot this Sat. if you can make it.
Thanks fer the invite Dennis. I've been off work ( and shooting)for 3 days now , dr's orders, weeks rest trying to get my right elbow healed up. Been feeling bruised for a month now. Steroids and no work for a week. I'm afraid I would be less than accurate after takin a week off. I dunno if the hunting at this thing will be worth a hoot but the company will be pretty good I'm sure. They also have a 20 target range there nearby.Good to hear from you again. Chris
Thanks Cat. But heres my grand scheme. By the end of oct. I hope to have one nice forky and one plump doe in the frigidair Then I can set up camp and bring my bowin tools, and a nice stave for you to work on. With me that weekend will be my two bonafied deer blood tracking dogs. That way I can sleep late, sit around camp drinking coffee, play around with selfbows. Later if someone has trouble finding one, I'll call out the troops. That evening you'll hear hey Dennis let me remove that bark for you. Here Dennis I cooked you a steak. Hey Dennis have another beer. That's my plan anyway. Oliver and Gabriel are looking forward to it.
Should be a good time. Might wanna check the regs on bloodtrailin with dogs though , Dennis, make sure you know what the rules are. I think you can do it but no one can have a weapon of any kind while you are trailin' it. Hope to see you fellers there! Chris
That's right Chris. Dogs must be on lead, and no weapons on anyone in on the search.
That brings about one question though. Flinttim is a master of the ancient art of Funky Shoe Ju Jitsu. His feet are registered deadly weapons. I guess he'll have to stay behind if we have to trail one.
Thought I'd move this one up again as its getting closer. I'm planning on bringing along some white wood fer tradin' and giftin'. Can't part with any osage though. Ya'll wanna do a little trade blanket deal while we are there? Maybe bring along some archery related items you don't use anymore and see what you can come home with? Chris
