Quiet Recurve - Mr. Nail

I saw where you were asking about quiet recurves a while back.  I shot one at Cloverdale that was really quiet.

I had heard they were, so I shot one just to see for myself.  He didn't even have silencers on them, just a bare D97 string.  Recurve with a bare string.....I was expecting some real noise.  All I got was a light bass note, no string slap.  A little bit of wool in the string and I think it would have been freakishly quiet.

thanks Chad. I looked at them also, but he didn't have any with a low-wrist grip.
Nice fellow, wasn't he?

He and his wife were very friendly.  I'm going to see if he will match a grip I have.
