Well, I made it back. I stalked to within 35 yards of a 170 class buck, but his harem blew my chances. Saw another buck in the 160 class, but no luck. I told Joe I would post this. For fur on tanning- two gallons of water, two pounds of salt (table salt is best-it's cleaner) and 8 ozs of new battery acid (electrolyte). Submerge pelt or deer hide that has been fleshed well in this and put rock on top to keep it under the solution. Stir ever...
