September trade blanket bow

I am going to make another osage bow for the trade blanket at the September shoot.  I thought I might post some progress pictures along the way.  I hope you guys don't mind.

I'm hoping to have a few more guys with us at the shoot this year.  I have a friend in Missouri who is trying to make it.

I got a few heat cracks on the belly.  I'll fill them with superglue.  As I reduce the limb thickness they will be removed and won't hurt anything.

It's 1 5/8" wide right now.  I might take it down a little.  It's 64" long.  I wanted a little extra width.  I'm planning on taking it to a 28" draw.

I put some sheep horn overlays on it today and rough shaped them.

I spent all day thinning the limbs and working on the tiller.

This picture was at 26".  I scraped on the fades and a couple other spots and eased it back to 50 lbs at 27".  I'm going to stop there.
